FEATURED JOB:Multi-unit Development
Before & After
Some of you who grew up in Uptown may remember the Helig-Meyers Furniture Warehouse. Built in 1926, this building housed the flagship store for Nelson Brothers Furniture. It was converted to 25 loft Condominiums in 2006. During the course of construction, a ramp was cut into the basement and used for parking. The first floor was built out for commercial use and today houses a theater and two restaurants. The second floor boasts 16’ ceilings. An additional level was added to create duplex loft condominiums on the 3rd and 4th floors. All of this was accomplished within parameters of a designated Historical District.
